Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026 · Applies to Loopmates for iPhone, iPad, and Android

Loopmates is made by YM Coded Studios ("we", "us"). We built Loopmates to be a calm, private little game. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app touches and — just as importantly — what it deliberately does not.

The short version: Loopmates has no YM Coded Studios account, never interrupts a puzzle with an advertisement, and uses no analytics SDK. It includes optional rewarded video ads from Google AdMob that play only when you choose to watch one. Consent choices are collected where required before any ad request. Progress is stored on your device and can also sync through the platform game service when you are signed in. We do not sell your personal information.

Information the app uses

Loopmates works fully offline and does not require you to create an account or give us your name, email, or contacts. The app handles the following, and only for the purposes described:

  • Your game progress — completed levels, best move counts, stars, unlocked cosmetics, settings, purchases already applied, and your current puzzle. This is stored on your device.
  • iCloud backup. Loopmates does not sync your progress between devices. Its save file is stored on your device, and is therefore included in your device's normal iCloud backup if you have backups turned on. That backup is handled entirely by Apple, in your own iCloud account; we do not run servers for it and cannot read it.
  • Game Center (optional). If you are signed in to Game Center, Loopmates submits two scores — your total stars earned and levels completed — to Apple's Game Center leaderboards, handled under Apple's privacy terms. Nothing else is sent. Game Center is never required to play; signed out, offline, or declined, the game is unaffected.
  • Google Play Games (optional). On Android, if you are signed in and the service is enabled, Loopmates submits total stars and levels completed to Google Play Games leaderboards and syncs the progress data listed above through Saved Games. Google handles that data under your Google account and its own privacy terms. The service is not required to play.
  • Optional rewarded video ads (Google AdMob). Loopmates never shows an advertisement on its own. If — and only if — you choose to watch one for a listed reward, a video is requested from Google AdMob. Google's SDK may process standard ad-request and diagnostic data, including device information, approximate location derived from network information, advertising identifiers where the platform and your consent choices permit them, and ad interaction data. In regions where consent is required, Google's consent flow resolves before the ads SDK is initialized or an ad is requested. You can revisit applicable choices from Settings → Privacy Options. Google's handling of ad data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
  • In-app purchases. Optional purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We receive a transaction and product confirmation so the game can apply and restore the purchase safely, but we never see or store your payment card, billing address, or store-account credentials.

What we do not do

  • We do not use third-party analytics, attribution, or behavioral-tracking SDKs.
  • On Apple platforms, Loopmates does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not access the advertising identifier. On Android, AdMob data use is controlled by Google consent requirements and your privacy choices.
  • YM Coded Studios does not build its own advertising profile about you.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with data brokers or advertisers.
  • We do not require access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.

Diagnostics and crash information

We use the diagnostic reports made available by Apple and Google through their store and operating-system tools. If you have chosen to share diagnostics with developers, those platforms may provide crash, device, and performance information. We do not add a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

Sharing your score

When you tap "Share Score", Loopmates creates an image on your device and hands it to the operating system's share sheet, so you can post it wherever you like. Sharing is always your choice, never required, and grants no in-game reward. The image and caption contain your score and the app name; any campaign link contains no player identifier.

Children's privacy

Loopmates is a gentle puzzle game suitable for a wide audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information on our own servers in the first place, there is nothing for us to knowingly collect.

Your choices and rights

Because your data stays on your device, you are in control of it:

  • To remove local game data, delete the app from your device.
  • To remove synced or backed-up copies, manage Saved Games or device backups through your Apple or Google account settings.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we do not hold your personal data on our servers, most requests are satisfied directly through the on-device controls above. You can always contact us with questions.

If anything changes

If we introduce a feature that changes what data is used, we will update this policy and the applicable App Store privacy label or Google Play Data safety form before that feature ships. Material changes will be clearly disclosed and, where appropriate, require your consent.
